Re: Access to WiFi Networks

I've experienced the same problem in my home Wi-Fi network. The problem was an MTU limit and the poor configuration of my provider that blocked ICMP at all. Here is a reference of how things are working: https://packetlife.net/blog/2008/aug/18/path-mtu-discovery/ TLDR, your IP packet being wrapped e...

TicHealth running distance too optimistic

Hi! I've got Ticwatch E with the latest update and recently tried TicHealth to track running activity. The app is great! But I've noticed the distance measurement is a way too optimistic :) E.g. today's one it measured 12.5 km though the real distance is about 10.2 km (measured with other trackers m...

Re: Issue gps icm with runkeeper

Hi! I confirm similar problem.

My ticwatch E can't get a standalone GPS lock at all since the Oreo update. Runkeeper just counts time in that case.

Has not try reboot etc. Want to check something during next couple workouts.

Will get back with the report later.

Re: Android Wear Oreo update.

All-in-all, what does OS updates mean to device manufacturer? Customer pays nothing for OS updates on mobile devices (current business model). Thus, updating your device manufacturer gets: 1) Your loyalty to the brand 2) Given you are a loyal customer, a way to make your device "less usable" for you...

Re: Android Wear Oreo update.

Updates do not ussually break things. While there could be some glitches they fix problems unless you are getting a major OS update. That's the point - major OS update. In my experience some updates were great, some not so great. Even if we're talking on Android features (besides device manufacture...

Re: Android Wear Oreo update.

To motorro, There is also a safety-issue. I presume that with the upgrade to Oreo comes the most recent safety_patch?! Now is the version of the safetypatch on the watch from 2017 october 5. We are in risk!. Yes you're right. But I'm not talking about security patches particularly. And! Nex...

Re: Android Wear Oreo update.

A bit off-topic... By the way, what exactly are you waiting for in this update so desperately? Based on my experience, the OS updates (putting an OS version to the device designed for another one) do not "make things work as expected". They usually make things STOP working as expected. That is espec...
