Allegedly, the date format on the Essential Mode display should follow your phone locale - but I can't say I have been successful at making that work. That's just what the manual says.

Using a WearOS device with an iPhone is an inferior experience, that's for sure: however, that is still much better than what you get trying the opposite - using an Apple Watch with an Android phone. Based on my experience, battery drain may be caused by a WearOS process gone rogue. You can't say for sure as there's no process monitor equivalent (unless one starts fiddling with Developer Mode and ADB of course...) but the quickest and most effective solution is to simply restart the watch. Basically, because you're using an iPhone, you can't. The standard solution is to use the companion app on the phone (https://developer.android.com/training/ ... #companion) but that option only exists on the Android app, not iOS.
