If you have an android phone, notifications from all apps including Google maps show up on the watch, if you have them enabled in the phone's settings (Settings -> Sound & notification [scroll down to the Advanced section] -> Notification access) https://dl2.pushbulletusercontent.com/K9wz4y0vAox...

I'd be happy with any note taking app. Best would be to add a note using a voice command, similar to how you can set reminders.
I guess currently I'm gonna be using the reminder functionality for note taking when I can't use my phone.

I'm have a Nexus 5. Here are the instructions that I followed (copied from a Facebook post and slightly modified): 1) Factory reset the watch (remember to click on clear data) 2) Uninstall the ticwear app you have 3) Download and install Chinese ticwear app.​ Here's the APK link: ​https://1drv.ms/u/...
