For those who do not have android SDK installed, you can download the adb.zip file in the link below and extract the adb folder anywhere in your computer, then simply change the path to where you have extracted the folder to.

Yep. It's great for updates. Also good for ADB over WiFi, so you don't need a developer dock to make apps, or sideload AW/Android apps. Android Wear also supports connecting to your phone over WiFi, but i'm pretty sure Ticwear doesn't have that feature. Actually TicWatch2 supports connection to you...

Since most wear apps use Google's Data and Message API to communicate between the watch and the phone, I don't think it is possible to side load an app and have it connect to the phone's app.
So far I believe only those standalone wear apps will work properly via sideload.
