Bug/sensor issue/user error?

Post by john21wall » Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:15 am

I just received my Oak(!) but I'm having an issue where each time I wake the device (e.g. to check a notification, change watchfaces or settings, etc.) it asks for my passcode. It says in the settings it will only ask after the watch has been taken off, and I haven't taken my watch off in between checking notifications.
I've tried the strap on a 'normal' tightness (i.e. stays firmly in one place on my wrist, but not overly tight) and 'tight' (as tight as I can physically handle)... neither matters. Bug? Sensor issue? Something I'm doing wrong? Ticwear version 4.2.6. For now I've had to turn off security. Thanks Jerry Li for the advice!

Hi dear,

According to your description, it seems you set password to unlock the watch. That means password is needed every time the screen is in ambient mode. Please check settings>preference>security, You can disable the password.

BTW, the latest firmware is 4.12.0, with new features added or improved, please kindly update your watch and the companion, thanks!
