Slow charging

Post by jkcb1 » Fri May 18, 2018 6:55 pm

Hi have had my Ticwatch S for a couple of months now, really like it but have noticed recently that it takes 5 hours to fully charge. When I forster got it I'm sure it would charge in about and hour and a half. Is a 5hr charge normal? I don't think it is. Once charged it does last for about 36 hours of normal use which is good.
Thanks for your help, Jonathan

I am having the same problem. I left my watch on the charger while I was sleeping and I woke up and it was still not fully charged. This was the first time I have had this problem. Is there any way to fix this. Please help me. I have loved the watch so far.

Hi all, I've fixed my slow charge problem. Thought it was corroded contacts on the watch but no I bought a replacement charger cable from amazon and now all is ok. Takes just over an hour to fully charge from flat. Search amazon for a cable
This one I bought.

TUSITA Charger for Ticwatch S/E... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DJ6T3CL? ... b_ap_share

How this helps.

Hi Jonathan,

The TicWatch S should only take about 70 minutes to charge, there may be a hardware issue with the charging cable, or the charging pins on the watch itself. If the product was purchased through one of our official avenues, we can offer after-sales assistance for this issue.

Same problem here.
Charging for over 7 hours now and only 54%
(usb port is capable of 3000mA at 5Volts)
Any idea how much milliamps the watch should continuously pull on a normal charging cycle?
I have the Ticwatch for about half a year now.
thanks
p

thanks jkcb1
that would explain at least something.
my TicWatch is currently at 6% and charging at a rate of 50mA
next question would be: is this due to a faulty cable, or due to the watch's battery, or faulty electronics...
i don't know anybody with a ticwatch so i can't try another charger...
perhaps i'll order the one on amazon
