Corroded and corrosion copper pads or leads on watch back

Post by matcha » Wed Jan 22, 2020 8:10 pm

The copper pads on the back of the watch are beginning to wear or corrode. I think this issue is because the thin pads get damaged by the charger, perhaps from the voltage causing an electrical spark.
I will re-solder the pads to add material. That should fix the issue although I may have stains on my wrist lol.

Greetings matcha!

This occurs due to the oils and debris that collects on the pads during normal wear. You can minimize the effect by wiping the pads before charging.
