Allways On Screen

Post by Stollenreiter » Thu Nov 30, 2017 2:35 pm

Hi,

is there any posibility to adjust the brightness of the Allways On Screen? In my opinion it is to bright. Specialy if you use the "1" setting in the nomal mode, like me. Then the Allways On Mode ist brighter then the normal mode.

Greetings from Germany

Some Watchfaces have to possibility to do that.

I use the "Black Classic" from HuskyDev. Highly recommended even the free version let you handle a lot which other faces do not.

Succes!

I'm having the same issue, always on is much brighter than my watchface.
I haven't found any button or app to change this.

Hi Stollenreiter, I tried to find out more information as well. It is a system value in android wear which is currently not changeable (google responsibility). Only solution seems to be using a theme with more "dark" layers or a different launcher - bubble cloud, which has option for ambient brightnes.

It has nothing to do with the Ticwatch. It is a Android Wear OS thing.

Unfortunately the brightness of the 'always on' display can not be adjusted by setting of Android Wear 2. How can someone forgot it? Does the Google developer never using what they programming? If they made it low, ok. But they have done it very bright! Unbelievable! It has nothing to do with the Ticwatch.

BUT, what I found out is, that there are watchfaces which provide settings to exactly adjust that!

For example this watchface allows to dim the 'always on' display to very low rate:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... ace.reflex

With that I run 'always on' the whole day.

I am sure there are plenty of other watchfaces also support it.

There is definitely something different about the Ticwatch because my LG Style does not have this problem. The screen can get much dimmer than the Ticwatch and the ambient faces are dimmer yet, as your would expect.

I believe that i can post my question here, instead of a new thread...

I need to be able to see google maps on the watch, when i am navigating, without the need to turn on the screen again and again (bike rider so... not safe).

When i turn on the always on display option, the face changes in a black and white version of google maps after a few seconds, which also does not help, since i can not see the route that i am suppose to follow.

Is there any way around this issue?!

Thank you in advance!
