After updating to Oreo and a factory reset, the battery life is better than ever, but WhatsApp notificatios stop working after a while.

Re: Android Wear Oreo. *Final Update*
At this point it is two days past the 100% rollout date and I have yet to receive a prompt on my watch to upgrade (Ticwatch E). I have done a check for update in the settings while hooked to wifi. It shows that it is up to date. Any ideas if they have paused the rollout or how to force the update?

All fine here since updates, seems very snappy and I haven't had any reboots.
Don't like the green theme though, where on earth is the black theme?

This doesn't work!chadb2448 wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 5:22 pmI believe if you go into Play Store and uninstall the Wear OS by Google app update and then reinstall it, you should get black background menus.kopieerkoning wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 9:38 amReceived the update last night. Haven't noticed any strange behavior, working accordingly so far!
Would have liked the black theme instead of the green/grey-ish in the menu's. After a couple of hours use today the battery is at 91%, as before.
It gets green/grey after reinstall.
Is it an wear os thing that doesn't work since it's black before install?
Hope it will be fixed

Well that sounds impressive. How did you get that? Do you have ambient display and airplane mode on?
Re: Android Wear Oreo. *Final Update*
I've updated my watch (Tickwatch E) to Oreo a few days ago and I am thinking my experience, till now, may benefit others...
After the update I experienced the following:
1) Unresponsiveness
2) Touch was not always registering (for example, I could press the "button" to set the permission for a watchface)
3) random reboots
4) and finally... very bad battery life!
Issues 1,2 and 3 were resolved after I resetted the watch.
Issue 4 was resolved after I disabled in "Settings" -> "Gestures":
- Tilt-to-Wake
- Wrist gestures
Now the battery life with "Ambient Display" ON seems better than before (2 to 4 hours more...)
Overall, with:
Wifi: ON
Bluetooth: ON
Locations: ON
Ambient Display: ON
Touch-to-Wake: ON
my watch lasts 24 hours (more or less).
I am now checking the battery life with Ambient Display OFF...

Black theme disappears after updating wear os
Re: Android Wear Oreo. *Final Update*
I have a black ticwatch e and my wife has the white one. We both got the oreo update and for some reason mine got the black theme while hers is still the green/gray one. Is anyone else having this problem? I've been trying to figure out how to enable the black theme on hers but can't figure it out for the life of me. I even did a factory reset on hers thinking it would fix it but it didn't.
