Hi Sabertooth,

Give you one more information. I had a short run today. Below is the picture.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AwPMbJ ... sp=sharing

The red dot is the start and finish point. The hand drawing is my real path. From Google Map, it should be around 1.8km (2-way).

This time, I used Google Fit in the TicWatch to track. The Watch is connected to my Note10+ through Bluetooth. (Surely I ran with my phone as well.)

It seems still bad.

Paul

Greetings fatpaul!

The engineer posted the following message to me:

For this issue:
1. Use watch GPS is no problem.
2. Use Galaxy Note8 is no problem.
3. Use Note10+ has problem.

This is very clear that the problem comes from his newly purchased Note10+ phone. 」

When the watch is connected to the phone, the GPS location is provided by the phone's GPS, so this can indicate that the phone's GPS has drifted.(I suspect that the GPS performance of this phone is very poor.

Hi Sabertooth,

I also thought about whether it is the phone GPS issue. However, as mentioned in my previous post on 2019.10.07 with the following image, I tried to use the TicWatch Pro and my Note10+ separately (Bluetooth at TicWatch Pro was disabled). The result shows both GPS in the TicWatch Pro and my Note01+ are very accurate while they are used for tracking separately.

That's why I said it is a compatibility issue between the TicWatch Pro and Note10+

(Left side shows the track logged by Google Fit on Note10+. Right side shows track logged by TicWatch Pro separately (Bluetooth disconnected while running).

The most efficient way to find out the root cause is to enable debug mode or log message mode while tracking runs. Doing analysis on the debug log message could find out the root cause or more clues. (Actually I was a hardware and also software engineer. 😅) That's also why I said I am willing to help to do so. Please check whether your engineer is willing to let me to do this. Thanks.

BR,
Paul

Hello, @fatpaul !
Have you resolved your problem with GPS? Take a look at my problem - I have the same watch and Galaxy Note8 ! Here is my post - https://forum.mobvoi.com/viewtopic.php?t=53455 .
And I have the same problem with "jumping" GPS tracking, which draws crazy lines while tracking the workout. But the difference is that it does not matter, whether I have a Bluetooth connection to phone or not - tracking is still crazy.
I have contacted with support through email, but they still can not help to solve this issue.

What about you now?
