Hi Emaiger,

Steps are primarily based on arm movement, so that may be what is causing the numbers to be a little off, and the stride calculations to seem incorrect. Normally if someone thinks that the TicHealth steps are off, I recommend that they compare the count to what is collected by the Google Fit app on their watch. Usually these two counts are not the same, but close. If there is a huge discrepancy, then there may be an issue with the device. If you want more information about step tracking algorithms, Please let me know I transfer you to our engineers for more assistant on your issue.

Aathif,

thx for your reply.

The step count is not the problem, because the steps are almost equal on my Ticwatch or mobvoi app compared with google fit.

The issue is the calculated distance.

One more example from today:
10373 steps calculated on Ticwatch pro (in Mobvoi App as well) measured a distance from 9,5 km
10534 steps calculated in Google fit measured a distance from 6,7 km.

This means a discrepancy from 2,8 km between Ticwatch/Mobvoi calculation to Google fit.

In my opinion such a big discrepancies should not happen.

any outcome on how and why such a discrepancy on calculating the distance happened?

Hi Emsiger,

Different fitness apps uses different kind of algorithms for data retrieving, therefore small discrepancy is totally normal.

Hi Aathif,

I have to bring the issue back, because the difference between Ticwatch pro/Mobvoi app and Google fit is not small as you mentioned .
We talk about a difference from 8 km by approx 18 000 steps.
Can you pls review.

dear mods,
is there any feedback available from your side, concerning the discrepancies I mentioned several times and documented with several screen shots as you requested.
I like to know what went wrong here, or maybe my ticwatch pro does not work properly and I have to request a warranty.
There are enough example in my post.
Can you pls advise.

I have the same problem.
Saturday i've walked approx 23.000 steps, Google Fit measured a distance of 14km, the Mobvoi app measured 22km (totally insane).

Please fix this or at least let us decide our step lenght.
