Excessive Load Alert when jogging

Post by jackorichens » Tue Apr 06, 2021 1:05 pm

When running my watch repeatedly give warnings that my heart rate is excessively high when out for a gentle run.
Whenever my pulse goes over 140 I get "Excessive Load" warnings every minute and I'm encouraged to SLOW DOWN.
A smart watch that encourages you to actually STOP exercising :(

As a result I don't use the Tic Health running app, I use the Google Fit app instead as it doesn't have this problem.
That does of course mean that I can't use the LCD display for data when running so a lot of the functionality of this watch is redundant.

How do I turn off this Excessive Load alert?

If you open TicExercise and swipe down to settings, you can configure which notifications show during the exercise event.

Hi, nope, there isnt any settings for notifications. In TicExcersice there are only these settings: Exercise Goal, Weekly Exercise Goal, TicMotion, Laps counting settings, Auto pause, TS, Privacy Settings, User help, Fit Developer
(3.0.0)-1930.818

Any other tip to turn this notiffication down?

With the most recent app update, the option to disable the HR notifications during an exercise is no longer there. I'll check with the dev team and see if this is something that can be turned back on.

Hi I had a similar issue when I updated the tic exercise, tic pulse and tic health.
You have to open the tic pulse app on your watch, swipe right and select Exercise HR alarm. Then enable it and disable it. I noticed it was disabled it but I was having the alerts no matter how I was setting my HR data.
