Google Pay not working.

I got a TicWatch Pro 3 GPS 1258 Build 310114.001 in January and can't get Google Pay to work. I have enrolled my Santander card which works perfectly with Google Pay on my Pixel Phone, but not on the watch. Error messages on the card readers I have tried the watch on are usually "Try again" , "Card not recognised" or "Follow instructions on screen". When I go to use it I have made sure the watch is unlocked and the screen shows the card and saying " Hold to screen". Mobvoi customer service was useless in helping. Nice watch but I bought it specifically to use for Google Pay. If I can't solve the issue I was going to ask Amazon for a refund.

I have a similar issue and also got mine in January. I did get it to work however, but it was EXTREMELY sensitive to movement. If it moves even slightly then it fails...

I'm wondering is this a bug that might be fixed or hardware issue? As I have a few other problems too like the touchscreen at the bottom, battery is not what is expected etc... Curious if it was a bad batch or something and worth returning for replacement!
