It seems that it is possible to install it, but I can't configure it.
I also installed it but as you cannot configure and connect it to any device it is useless.

Oh, it has an Android Wear app? By sideloading it, or even just running 1024, i don't think the watch can communicate with the app on the phone, and that's why there are no options to configure it.

As a reply to an earlier post you can download "Wear Videos" and play .mkv with audio just fine. Also it allows you to browse your phones storage so you don't have to load the movie files onto your wear device.

Playing gameboy games on the Ticwatch: POKEMON!!

Post by LukeWarmAbyss » Mon Jan 09, 2017 11:49 pm

First off credit were credit is due:

I got this idea from a guy call Mark Crawford, his tutorial is here:
https://plus.google.com/113771430860745 ... PWhdtsJ3XZ

the adb part of this was from here:
http://forum.ticwear.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=146

This is my adaptation for the Ticwatch

before we get started some things to mention:
1. for this tutorial you need to download roms and apks online, I do not condone piracy (don't do it on the regular)
2. once complete do not re-sync you apps as it will delete it (Mobvoi needs more AW compatibility)
3. this tutorial is for android and windows (I do not have a mac)

resources:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz88ld ... sp=sharing

step 1:
download and install the ftp app from the Mobvoi store on your watch

step 2:
activate developer setting on your watch by going to settings - about and taping the ticwear version until it says you a developer

step 3:
go into developer info and enable adb test as well as wifi testing

step 4:
enable wifi under settings - network - wifi and connect to the same network your computer is connected to

step 5:
download the resources about and unzip them on you desktop

step 6:
shift-right click in the finder window of the unzipped resource file and select "open command window here"

Step 7:
type in the command window "adb start-server"

when that is done type "adb connect (local ip of your watch, can be found under settings - network - wifi - advanced settings):7272"

when that is done type "adb install com.fastemulator.gba_1.7.0.2_paid-www.apkhere.com.apk"

when that is done type "adb stop-server"

then close the command window

step 8:
open the ftp app on your watch, tap the centre to start the ftp server and connect using any ftp client (I used FileZilla)

step 9:
create a folder call "GBA games" on your watch and place the "Pokemon - Fire Red Version (U) (V1.1).gba" file into that folder

step 10:
on the watch open the "My Boy!" app, hit ok, then navigate to the "GBA games" folder then select the file "Pokemon - Fire Red Version (U) (V1.1).gba"

step 11:
(don't get too exited there is still one more thing to do, fix the controlls)
open the ftp app on your watch, tap the centre to start the ftp server and connect using any ftp client (I used FileZilla)

step 12: place the "Default-400x400.xml" file from the resources into the folder /MyBoy/config/layout and overwrite the file that is allready there

step 13:
restart the watch

step 14:
open the "My Boy!" app, select "Pokemon - Fire Red Version (U) (V1.1).gba" and enjoy pokemon (to access the file menu from the game swipe to the right on your watch)

to play other games just place the roms in the "GBA games" folder using ftp and then select them when you use the "My Boy!" app

Well wow, I could not even imagine that it was even possible. But to be honest, I still think it's much more convenient to play old versions of games using rom files, like this one https://romsmania.com/roms/gameboy-advance. To play this version of the game is much more interesting and difficult, but this is just my opinion, in any case, thanks for the information, I was interested to read about it.

If you side loaded them using the Dev mode, you have to delete the app from your phone and it will delete it from your watch, then turn off Dev mode and reinstall the app, you can not resync the apps again through Dev mode as it will push that app back, so only way to do it is remove the app you don't want syncing every time!
