Change Watchband for onyx

Post by Kingsley » Thu Nov 03, 2016 4:20 am

Hi, I have met a problem with changing the watchband for onyx. I tried to used the screwdriver provided in the box to drive out the screw but it didn't make it. Is there a tutorial for adjusting the watchband. Thank you.

Same here. Can't remove one god damn screw with the included screwdriver.

No problems for me. Used the screw-driver that came along. You can feel when the blade falls in the screw. It is indeed a tedious job, where visuals are difficult. Patience is definitely needed :-).

I've spent almost an hour to unscrew them, and got only one out. I know how it feels when the driver is positioned correctly, but the connection is never secured.

Can any current Onyx owner confirm/deny whether I can use any normal 20mm strap? I ordered (still waiting) the Onyx for the screen and color, but not terribly enthused about metal clasps. Looking to replace with a generic leather one, but wanted a confirmation whether generic straps will work with ticwatch.

I tried all 18 screws on the band, only got 2 screws removed sucessfully on the cost of having scratched my band...This is a really poor design.

Luckily I have my own small screwdriver set. I bent the screwdriver it came with. Took me about 45 minutes, I'm glad there is more than one to try as I mangled a few of them. Was very difficult to remove. Once you get them out they are so small, so be very careful not to lose it. There should be some extra screws in the pack of extra links.
