Google play notifications
I get constant Google play notifications on my watch, about apps to update on my phone. I have tried to turn them off on the ticwear app, and have disabled notifications for everything google, but they keep on appearing.
Has anyone managed to turn them off?

Re: Google play notifications
I have the same issue and it sucks.
The Google Play Services package just doesn't display in the app selection list for blocking notifications.
Same goes for the Download Manager.
Mobvoi should rework that application selection to show system apps as well (or just *any* kind of app).

I agree entirely, and hope someone is listening!

Re: Google play notifications
I literally just logged onto this forum to say that. It's really goddamn annoying. When you plug your phone in and connect to wifi, it goes out for like 5 or 10 minutes. I'm SURE it's not good for battery life. God, I wish they fix this. I really hope they're paying attention to these responses.

And what has this got to do with google play notifications?

EVERYTHING. it's because when i plug my phone into the wall, it starts downloading updates.
Re: Google play notifications
Hello all,
Think you can control the notifications to the watch including google play (at least mine has it)
1. in your android phone go to the ticwear app.
2. Under notifications, scroll all the way down and click on block notifications
3. choose all the apps which should not alert the watch Hope this helps!

Thanks, but if you had read my original post, you would have seen that I did all that on the very first day I had my watch, it didn't work, I am still getting the notifications!Cavey wrote:Hello all,

Re: Google play notifications
jlynton, you're not going mad, it's definitely an issue.
I have moved EVERY Google app in the Ticwatch phone notification list and put them in the blocked section. Despite that, I still get notifications on my watch during a Play Store Update, with separate notifications for downloading and installing.
It's annoying, but livable for me as I don't get many software updates.
That said, it would be nice to be able to disable it!

Re: Google play notifications
Bizarrely I just used Google Play to install a new app and to updated an existing one..... for both processes neither downloading or installing the apps generated a notification in my Ticwatch.
I haven't changed anything since it last buzzed at me for doing that, so I'm confused!
