Car Bluetooth hands free and tic connection

Post by vwsplitty1980 » Wed Oct 05, 2016 6:40 am

Hi
I have a Samsung note 4 running marshmallow which is connected to my car via Bluetooth for hands free which always works great. Now that I have also connected the tic watch via Bluetooth to my phone I get an issue when someone calls me.
When I now get called I get the watch and phone ringing to let me know but I answer the
Call via the normal way of the car controls and although it answers ok the audio from the call is passed via the phone speaker and not the car
Speakers as normally it would be. I have also tried answering a call by the watch while connected to hands free and I get the same problem.
I do have an iPhone to also test this but I suspect it will be the same.
Is this a fault or some kind of Bluetooth limitation?. If I can use the hands free while my
Watch is connected it would be a bit of a show stopped I'm afraid.
Cheers

Well. I got a different result.

I made a call on the watch via OK Teco it makes the call but the phone app on the watch crashes. But comes through car sound system just fine.

Receiving a call tried to answer via watch. It asks to confirm on the Bluetooth device. And I answer on the phone. Comes through the car sound system just fine.

Receiving a call. Answer on car controls. Works on car system just fine.

I'm driving a 16' jeep Cherokee with Uconnect 8.4 nav

Ok thanks for letting me know.

Mine seems to be fully working now dialling and receiving via the car controls.
I have not tried via the watch as I don't need to in the car.

I'm in the uk and driving a 2014 seat Leon ST

Hi, I have a similar issue, my phone is paired to my hands free (Jeep Grand Cherokee 2012, via Uconnect) it worked perfectly fine, clear call connections etc. However, since the watch has been paired to the phone, my Hands Free in the Jeep now plays up. Every minute or so for about 10 - 15 seconds the call is distorted, neither end can hear the other person.
Tests:
1) Over the last week at different times driving to and from work, I call a number of different friends who are on different carriers, the issue still occurs.
2) I have completely turned the watch off, (shutdown) the issue still occurs.
3) I uninstalled Mobovi application on the phone - issue still occurred.

Fix: I uninstalled the Ticwatch Bluetooth driver of the phone, Hand Free in the Jeep now works fine back to normal again.

This is a real issue in Australia if we cant use our hands free in the car, especially with the fines the police hand out.

Please help fix this.

What do you mean by "uninstalled the Ticwatch Bluetooth driver"?

I have a similar issue with my 2009 Ford Fiesta and Xiaomi Mi 4S (MIUI 8.2). My phone binds with the car just fine but when I try to switch to Bluetooth audio on my car, it refuses to enable the audio.

Hi OsomPosom, I uninstalled the ticwear Global application, which has the blue tooth driver. Whilst the HandFree now works the watch is quite useless, it tells the time but can not sync anything, not even over wifi.

At least now I can make calls for work, until the problem is fixed the watch sits in the draw collecting dust.

Having the same problem. US user, BMW car. Even causes distortion for another phone (not mine, and running iOS) when using the bluetooth hands free while I have TW2 and my android phone paired in the car at the same time...
