Step Counter

Post by mr.samuel.obrien » Mon Feb 01, 2021 3:31 pm

Hello

I've only had the watch a few days but have notice that the step counter is a little sensitive.

Sitting working at my desk today, I noticed the device had recorded 3K steps - I had not stood up for a few hours.

I guess that its picking up my hand movement - is there anything to adjust or calibrate

Other than that, I really like the watch

I have the same problem. Sitting all day doing computerwork and it's on 2399 steps.
Hope for some answers. I like the watch aswell.

I've just recently purchase the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS to replace my old TicWatch C2.

And I've also experiencing the same issue with the step counter.

I would think it would be pretty hard to calibrate it to detect exact movement but the sensitivity could definitely be adjusted with software. Probably the most accurate smartwatch I have seen has been Samsung. The worst by far was Casio. Mobvoi seems to be somewhere in the middle. Nobody should take any of these numbers as fact for sure.

I'm very disappointed with this watch. The step counter is wrong it renders this watch useless at a fitness tracker? Why has this not been addressed in the latest update.
