Re: Solutions for Android phone pairing issues
Wow. Looks like everyone is having the same problem.
Mine started about a week ago, suddenly the watch requires re-pairing.
Obviously pairing failed with timeout message.
Then I tried factory reset, and reinstalling the ticwatch app.
The first time pairing seems working where the watch was downloading software.
After that it goes back to the pairing mode.
All pairing attempt subsequently failed. I have tried using a different android phone, but with the same result.
BTW my watch is still on ticwear version Tic_4.14.0_intl. Android version 5.1
Please help!!

Hi, can you uninstall the Mobvoi App and ensure you pair it with the TicWear app?argous78 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 02, 2018 4:09 amWow. Looks like everyone is having the same problem.

Re: Solutions for Android phone pairing issues
I can't get bluetooth connected on my new ticwatch2. Version 4.14 on a Pixel running 8.1.
Just won't pair. App in first post doesn't work, as others have mentioned. Tried a number of restarts and resets.
Let me know if this is expected behavior and I'll just return it.

Re: Solutions for Android phone pairing issues
I think the information at the top is obsolete. Frustrating. I was about to open a support ticket because I had done all the steps including getting the Ticwear version 4.4.4_intl from Google Drive as suggested. However this is more than 1 year old and did not solve the problem. My phone would not pair either by the camera scan or manually: Step 3 just failed because it would not pair. I saw references in other support strings about the Mobvoi phone app (use it/ don't use it) and Ticwear Companion (use it/don't use it). What worked for me was simply to uninstall all the apps from my phone and do a hard reset of the watch. Then go to the Google Play Store (as normal) and download the Ticwear Global app, which is currently version 4.14.0_intl. Notice that since the beginning of this string the version has gone from 4 to 14! In any case, once I opened version 14 on my phone and started the watch, it quickly paired using the QR code. So simple, it's stupid. Please pull down the advice at the beginning of this string!
Re: Solutions for Android phone pairing issues
I wanted to update this post for 2019. This solution still works perfectly in 2018 on a Ticband, but it's easier now. Just delete app reboot phone and reinstall app store version of app from when it first worked.
Re: Solutions for Android phone pairing issues
I couldn't scan QR code through the new version of the app.
