[How to] Increase the speed of the Tic Watch Pro
Hey guys,
as all of us know the Ticwatch Pro is sometimes quite laggy when you try to wake it up after a while or you are scrolling through the menus too rapidly.
There is a very easy tweak to make the watch a lot faster.
Go to the Settings, System, Info and tap "Build-Number" a few times untill it tells you that the developer settings are unlocked.
Go back onto the main settings screen and hit developer settings.
Scroll down and disable all the animations (3 settings in total).
Now your watch should be a lot faster than before. It reduced the amount of lags on my watch to almost zero.
I hope it will help you guys.
Keep in mind that high temperatures (caused by environment or by long time use like navigation or so) on the Ticwatch will trigger the processor to decrease its frequency which results in slower operation and lags.

I literally signed up for this forum just to thank you for this. Such an easy way to make the watch a little more responsive - which it needs. Now if only they would roll out the tiles update, all would be well.
Bottom line: You deserve the medal of freedom for this post. Maybe wait for the next president though.

Hi Moritz,
I would like to follow your advise, and I found out the developer settings on my watch. Unfortunately I could not found the animation...scroll down in total 3.
Can you pls explain exactly what should be disabled?
Thx for your help and brgds

Hi,
When you open developer options on your TicWatch scroll down to window animation scale, transition animation scale and animator duration scale (they are one under other in this order) and you can set all this to zero.
I keep mine at 0,5.
You can find the same thing if you enable developer options on your Android phone.

Is it better 0 or 0,5 ?
Re: [How to] Increase the speed of the Tic Watch Pro
Try both and see what suits you best.
I keep mine at 0,5 and I'm fine with that.
