For what it's worth, I've found a post where they explain why this is happening.

see: https://forum.mobvoi.com/viewtopic.php?t=51692#p60851

in a nutshell: you shouldn't use the ticwatch charger on a high-amperage power adapter, but rather on your PC/laptop USB or something similar

I would very much like this to be confirmed by a mobvoi official, and I would also like to know the max power the adapter should have (0.5A? 1.0A? )

Thanks

Alrighty. So, when you look at the bottom face of your TicWatch charger, you can clearly see it says "Input: 5V, 1A (max)"
So I guess we all broke our charger by plugging it into a power source >1A.

All of you who need new TicWatch pro chargers, this is where I found mine for just a couple of bucks:

I'll post an update when I've have received & tested the charger, so y' all know whether the problem is solved this way.

cheers
