What's the official, proper way to charge the watch?

Post by igorsantos07 » Thu Mar 07, 2019 6:44 pm

I had trouble with my original charger because it fails to work on current phone power adapters. The ones I have are 1.5A / 2A+, and after two weeks of use the charger stopped working and I thought it had bricked my watch. After some search around Reddit[1][2], I began to have some hopes, as I had bought a second charger sometime ago and was waiting for the delivery. Bingo, the original charger was indeed fried and I'm now discussing with the "Official AliExpress Store" that is REFUSING to send me a replacement.

The weakest power adapter I have at home is 1.2A, and it seems to also cause some trouble with the charger - worked once or twice, and then I noticed it took hours with the watch on it and didn't charge more than 4%. I took it and plugged on the computer, which seems to work...... However, annoyingly the watch keeps connecting and disconnecting from the computer as a USB device!

How are we supposed to properly charge the watch without having it as a USB device on the computer and without receiving a proper power adapter from the manufacturer??

Anyone else having this problem?

I'd reach out to Mobvoi directly to see if they can delivery you a new once since it's still within warranty I assume.

Hi igorsantos07,

Please try using a 5V 1A adapter.
